"and for this reason I got to investigate about the boys and what they were doing at the moment! Unfortunately I still lack lots of infos T_T but somehow I got a clear picture in my mind."
Let me know if you have good sources. I'm just drawing a blank as to whatever the hell are they doing after defeating Katsuyori Takeda once and for all.
"Nobukatsu's attack to the Iga region was not such a bad idea, because forests and ninja villages were the first spot were rebels and the like liked to hide:"
I know. I never said it's a bad idea. I do agree that the ninjas needed to go if you actually want peace. Iga is a self-governing group that is only loyal to themselves, so that is dangerous.
I only said that he was "weak-willed" in samurai context. As in, "if you don't march out and fight you're weak". I mean he could fight on after his brother Nobutaka dies, but I do think what he did is right. Avoid confrontation when it's not necessary. And this is considered "stupid fighting".
Eeeeh! The Meiji era was nice! I wouldn't say that Western culture overwhelmed Japanese's one in that period, on the contrary! Japaneses are curious people and are intrigued by different things by default, but they don't really try to understand the whole point behind them (Nobunaga is a perfect example of it)-- So you don't really have the impression that they can get "brainwashed" by Westerners so easily... They still had their culture and developed it accordingly to modernity at that time, we didn't see the kind of "cultural rape" that happened after WWII.
I never said Meiji era was bad! I just said that if Nobu had been the one in control during Westernization, the situation would just be different. I think you misunderstand when I said "Nobu wouldn't let the Westerners overrun him". That's just a statement of fact. Nobu doesn't take orders from anyone (except maybe the emperor or something, I don't know).
Do you know a manga called "Haikara-san ga tooru" (in Italy it was distributed as "Mademoiselle Anne", LOL)..? It's a reaaally old series that was one of my favourites when I was a kid ;_; <3 !! It's set in Meiji era, and despite being a shojo story, it's really keen and interesting about the deal with that peculiar age!
No, because I don't usually go out of my way to look for historical manga. All of the manga that I know are the ones that I found by accident or I see advertized somewhere. I'll look for it.
--And I don't know about the penis-patterned kimono XDDD What's that XDDD ?
Um... It's in one of the Nobu magazines I bought. It said that according to some document with unclear source, he was wearing this when he went to meet Dousan for the first time, along with the tiger skin pants and everything:
I cannot read the text properly so I might be reading something wrong O___O
